The overall aim is to provide more accurate modeling and experimental tools for quantification of non-exhaust emissions for Nordic road traffic conditions. Using existing road dust emission models as a starting point, combined with field and laboratory measurements, a more comprehensive and generalised process based model has been developed. It describes the non-exhaust emissions, with emphasis on the contribution of road wear, salt and sand to the emissions.
